Queridos amigos rotarios,
Los incendios que arrasaron nuestra tierra en Extremadura, Galicia, Castilla y León y Asturias han sido finalmente apagados. Pero las heridas que dejan son enormes: miles de hectáreas más reducidas a cenizas, familias que han perdido sus hogares y explotaciones, y ecosistemas enteros devastados.
Durante la emergencia estuvimos al lado de los equipos de extinción, llevándoles agua y comida, porque en Rotary creemos firmemente que “siempre estamos donde se nos necesita”. Hoy, esa misión continúa. Ahora, más que nunca, debemos ser la fuerza que levante a quienes sienten que lo han perdido todo.
Reconstruir llevará tiempo. Sanar la tierra requerirá esfuerzo. Devolver la esperanza necesitará de todos nosotros. Pero juntos, podemos lograrlo. Porque “unidos somos fuertes” y podemos transformar las cenizas en semillas de vida y futuro.

Dear Rotarian friends,
The fires that struck our land in Extremadura, Galicia and Castilla y León have finally been extinguished. But the wounds they leave behind are immense: thousands of additional hectares have been reduced to ashes, families have lost their homes and farms, and entire ecosystems have been devastated.
During the emergency, we were there alongside the fire brigades, bringing water and food, because in Rotary we believe that “we are always where we are needed”. Today, that mission continues. Now more than ever, we must be the strength that uplifts those who feel they have lost everything.
Rebuilding will take time. Healing the land will take effort. Restoring hope will take all of us. But together, we can achieve it. Because “together we are strong”, and together we can turn ashes into seeds of life and future.
